This 30-hour course is approved for Instructor Certification by the MS LEO Standards and Training
Standard, Unconventional Room Clearing and more
Room clearing is one of the most over looked practices in policing. This course will instruct you to:
- Understand the concepts of accepting and delivering violence.
- Understand how and why you need to take the lead in a tactically challenging environment.
- Understand how to create a proper training environment for your agency and surrounding agencies.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN AND MORE
- Understand the difference (advantage and disadvantage) between using steel targets and paper targets during firearms training.
- Understand shot placement theory.
- Understand and demonstrate the various “clearing” techniques (Room, House, Building, Vehicle).
- Understand the concept of “Show me your hands” vs. “Face Away"
- Trade craft of a tactically sound officer.
- As a part of a teach back exercise the student will train officers on how to be more tactically sound.
